Saturday, September 15 – Rimouski:
6:45 am Board coach at the St. Laurent Mall (In front of East Side Mario’s)
7:00 am Board coach at Queensway Tours Office (1516 Merivale Rd)
We ask everyone to be at your respective pick up point 15 minutes prior to departure
A scenic drive takes us along the shore of the St. Lawrence River, making stops for coffee and lunch; we bypass Quebec City in favor of the town of St. Jean Port Joli, known as the woodcarving capital of the world, for a look at these craftsmen at work. We spend the night in Rimouski at the Hotel Gouverneur. 418-723-4422. This first class hotel is located across from the St. Lawrence River and features a swimming pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Sunday, September 16 – Gaspe Peninsula:
Depart from the hotel in Rimouski, making our way to the spectacular Gaspe Peninsula, one of Quebec’s premier vacation destinations. Completely surrounded by water, we spend the day exploring such historical sites as Pointe-au-Père Lighthouse, Canada’s second highest lighthouse and Forillon National Park, offering all kinds of recreational activities and interpretation programs that will satisfy even the most curious minds. We overnight in Perce this evening. Our hotel is the Manoir de Perce, 418-782-2022. Situated in the heart of Percé, our hotel-motel faces magnificent Percé Rock. The wharf, boutiques, art galleries and other attractions are a five-minute walking distance from the hotel. A delicious dinner is included this evening at our picturesque hotel.
Monday, September 17 – Gaspe:
Depart the hotel. The legendary Perce Rock fascinates visitors and has inspired innumerable artists. Take advantage of the low tide and walk out to this limestone giant. At 9 am, we take a boat trip to Bonaventure Island, enabling us to see the spectacular colony of gannets. We will visit the interpretation centre learning about the history of the island and its unique vegetation. This evening our destination is Campbellton, at the Comfort Inn, 506-753-4121. This hotel has coffee and newspapers available in the lobby
Tuesday, September 18 – Prince Edward Island:
Depart the hotel, following the Acadian Trail to Shediac. We will make a stop at the Le Pays de la Sagouine. Here we will experience the Acadian “Kitchen Party” featuring song, music and plenty of laughter. Try your hand at playing the spoons. Following our visit, enjoy lunch on your own. This afternoon our coach heads toward the Confederation Bridge & Prince Edward Island. This amazing structure is an attraction in itself! We are welcomed at Gateway Village, where we learn more about the construction of the bridge and the Island. We spend two nights in the harbor town of Summerside at Quality Inn and Suites, phone 902-436-2295. Dinner and show included this evening.
Wednesday, September 19 – Prince Edward Island:
8:30am We depart the hotel for the capital city of Charlottetown. Here we meet our local guide for a 90 minute guided tour. Lunch will be on your own at Peakes Quay. This afternoon our sightseeing continues as we visit the “Land of Anne” We’ll visit Lucy Maud Montgomery’s home, Anne of Green Gable’s house, and Cavendish Beach. This evening we feast on a delicious lobster dinner…an Atlantic Tradition! (Alternate selection available)
Thursday September 20 – Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia:
Depart Summerside back across the Confederation Bridge, we make the short journey into the Province of Nova Scotia where we’ll follow the “Sunshine Trail” onto Cape Breton Island. Our destination is the Bras d’Or area. Known as the Great Inland Sea; Bras d’Or is one of the world’s finest sailing and boating venues. The lake is abundant with wildlife, including the magnificent bald eagle, which claims this region as a major breeding area. We will visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum before checking into our hotel The Inverary Lodge, Phone 902- 295-3500. Located on the scenic Bras d’Or Lakes the hotel features a full service restaurant and lounge, along with a spa.
Friday, September 21 – Cabot Trail-Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Depart the hotel. Settle in to enjoy one of the most beautiful drives in North America, the Cabot Trail! We have hired a guide for the day to make sure we take in all the sights on the spectacular trail. Half of the trail is located within Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Bring your cameras for this full day of sightseeing! Tonight dinner is included at the hotel!
Saturday & Sunday September 22-23 – Halifax:
Depart the hotel for our morning drive to Halifax. Lunch will be on your own before we begin our sightseeing in Halifax with a guided tour of this vibrant city. The next two nights will be spent in Halifax at the Four Points by Sheraton. This downtown property is located within walking distance to a vast array of sightseeing and dining options. The hotel also features an indoor pool for your enjoyment. Dinner this evening is included. On day two we start with a 7:30am Buffet Breakfast (included) then we depart the hotel 9:00am to visit the most photographed place in America, Peggy’s Cove. The balance of the day and evening are yours to enjoy on your own in the beautiful seaport of Halifax. Possibly visit Pier 21 or the Alexander Keith’s Brewery, located downtown within walking distance of the hotel. Dinner is on your own.
Monday, September 24 – St. John:
Depart the hotel. Today we follow the Glooscap Trail to Springhill, home of famed singer, Anne Murray. We take time to visit the centre that chronicles the childhood and career of the singer. We continue into the Province of New Brunswick, following the Fundy Coastal Drive. Hopewell Rocks should prove to be one of the highlights of your tour. Curious rock formations have been formed by the massive tides. We have hired a local guide to educate us on this fascinating attraction, which made the short list on the “New Seven Wonders of the World”. Our destination tonight is St. John, the oldest incorporated city in Canada, located at the mouth of the St. John River. Our hotel this evening is the Hilton St. John, 506-693-8484. Amenities include a fitness room, indoor pool, and sauna and it’s connected to the Market Square retail Complex via indoor pedway.
Tuesday, September 25 – Riviere du Loup:
Our journey continues through New Brunswick as we visit the capital city of Fredericton. We will have a 90 minute guided tour of this historic city then time for lunch on your own. A stop in Grand Falls will round out our sightseeing today before we arrive at our hotel for the evening. Hotel Universal, 418-862-9520. A farewell dinner is included this evening at our hotel. This convention style hotel is equipped with an indoor pool, health centre, sauna and restaurant.
Wednesday, September 26 – Home:
We wind our way back home, filled with fond memories of the fresh salt air, sandy beaches, rustic fishing villages, lighthouses and lobster suppers. We expect an early evening arrival.

Luggage:
Baggage service will be provided. You will receive your luggage tags upon check in prior to departure. Please ensure that you adhere to our baggage policies. Queensway Tours will pay only the portage charges for ONE large suitcase per person. You are responsible for your carry-on baggage.

• For the comfort of fellow travelers, kindly refrain from using scented products (perfume, cologne or hand sanitizer).
• Clients may have to transfer coaches as we have participates joining our tours from all over South Eastern Ontario. The size and style of the shuttle vehicle is dependant on the number of passengers.
• Your Queensway Tour representative is available to assist you in any way possible. Please do not hesitate to contact him/her with any questions or concerns. If you have a problem or complaint about any hotel room or other inclusion on your tour, you must report it to your tour director as soon as possible in order for them to inspect the problem and attempt to have it rectified for you. No complaints will be considered by our office upon return of the trip unless reported to and duly noted by the tour director.
Tipping for driver and escort is voluntary depending on quality of service.
Step-on guides: We provide a standard gratuity to the local guide but if you feel that he/she has given exceptional service you are welcome to offer them something extra on your own.
