Day 1: Monday, August 20 – Rimouski
6:45 am – Board coach at the St. Laurent Mall (In front of East Side Mario’s)
7:00 am – Board coach at Queensway Tours Office (1516 Merivale Rd)
We ask everyone to be at your respective pick up point 15 minutes prior to departure.
Today we travel along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River bypassing Quebec City in favour of a visit to St. Jean- Port-Joli and the wood carvers. Our journey continues through the scenic Laurentide Wildlife Reserve.
We’ll spend our first night in Rimouski at the Gouverneur Hotel, phone 418-723-4422. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel.
Day 2: Tuesday, August 21 – Perce
Following our full American Breakfast this morning, we cross the Gaspe at its narrowest spot traveling through the picturesque Matapedia Valley. We will take time to visit the Métis Gardens located near Matane. We will tour this internationally renowned horticultural achievement, which resulted from Elsie Redford’s passion for gardening. This gardener’s paradise is home to over 3000 species and varieties of native and exotic plants. There will be plenty of time for photo opportunities.
We continue east to the north shore of the Bay of Chaleur and on to Perce for our two-night stay. Our hotel for the next two evenings is the Manoir de Perce, Phone 418-782-2022. Dinner is included this evening at this picturesque hotel.
Day 3: Wednesday, August 22 – Perce
Another full American Breakfast is included. Sightseeing this morning includes a sailboat ride around the famous Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island, home to a world-renowned Northern Gannet colony. You will also see puffins, cormorants and murres.
This afternoon we are free to enjoy and explore the village of Perce. Although Perce now has a mainly tourist vocation, it used to be an important fishing center. It reigns as one of Quebec’s most important natural tourist attractions.
Dinner is included this evening at the hotel.
Day 4: Thursday, August 23 – Riviere du Loup
Enjoy your full American breakfast before we board our coach to depart Perce. We continue around the Gaspe Peninsula hugging the shoreline back along Chaleur Bay. We continue through the province of New Brunswick to our destination for the evening, Riviere du Loup.
We check into the Hotel Universal, phone 418-862-9520. Relax and freshen up before we enjoy our farewell dinner!
Day 5: Friday, August 24 – Home
Full American breakfast is included before we board our coach this morning for the trip back to Ottawa. We will make a stop in Quebec City for lunch on your own. Arrival back home this evening.

Luggage:
Baggage service will be provided. You will receive your luggage tags upon check in prior to departure. Please ensure that you adhere to our baggage policies. McCoy Tours will pay only the portage charges for ONE large suitcase per person. You are responsible for your carry-on baggage.
