Celtic Colours is a Cape Breton Island–wide festival with a wide array of events ranging from fiddle parties in intimate community halls to grand concerts in some of the islands larger venues. Each year, over 300 Artists form all over the Celtic world, including Scotland, Ireland, the United Sates, Brittany and Canada perform at over 30 venues around the island

Day 1 – Tuesday, October 9, 2012
6:45 am Board coach at the St. Laurent Mall (In front of East Side Mario’s)
7:00 am Board coach at Queensway Tours Office (1516 Merivale Rd)
We ask everyone to be at your respective pick up point 15 minutes prior to departure.
Board the coach, sit back and enjoy the scenery as we travel through the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. We will make stops for coffee and lunch. Your tour director will provide a variety of activities to keep you entertained.
Overnight tonight at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 100 Rice St, Edmundston, N.B, E3V 1T4. Phone 506-735-9101. Dinner is on your own at the hotel this evening. The hotel features an indoor heated pool and hot tub for your enjoyment. Don’t forget to turn your watches ahead one hour.
Day 2 – Wednesday, October 10, 2012
6:30 am - Baggage outside of door for pickup.
6:30 am – Continental buffet breakfast
7:30am - After our continental buffet breakfast we continue through the province of New Brunswick, passing through such cities as Fredericton as we make our way to Nova Scotia. We cross the Canso Causeway into Cape Breton arriving at our hotel in Dundee. The Inverary Lodge, 368 Shore Road, Baddeck, N.S. Canada BOE 1BO. Phone 902- 295-3500. Located on the scenic Bras d’Or Lakes the hotel features a full service restaurant and lounge, along with a spa.
Tonight we are greeted with an included dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 – Thursday, October 11, 2012
7:00-8:00am - Breakfast in the dining room.
8:00am – We board the coach for the Cabot Trail. Sit back and enjoy some of the most amazing scenery in North America. We have hired a step on guide to point out all the highlights. Our day will include coffee breaks, lunch and plenty of photo opportunities, plus some interesting crafts people.
We return to Baddeck late afternoon in time to enjoy a dinner this evening at Baddeck Lobster Suppers. Enjoy a four course lobster feast including fresh seafood chowder, steamed Nova Scotia mussels, homemade rolls and biscuits, salad and delicious desserts. (Alternate selection for those not preferring lobster include steak or planked salmon.)
Day 4 – Friday, October 12, 2012
7:30am–8:30am – Breakfast in the dining room.
8:45am - This morning we will board the coach and begin touring the island. Stops today include Big Pond, home of the famed Rita MacNeil then on to Louisburg, home of the Fortress of Louisburg. We will do a drive by the fortress and spend some time exploring this quaint historical community. (Your director will discuss with the group to determine if there is any interest in visiting the fortress, admission on your own)
Dinner will be on your own this evening. (to be deicided when the show venue is determined)
This evening we will visit the first of the two performances we have included for the Celtic Colours.
Day 5- Saturday, October 13, 2012
8:00am-9:00am Breakfast in the dining room.
9:00am – Our island sightseeing will continue today including the Celidh Trail. We will visit the villages of Port Hood, Mabou, Inverness and Margaree. Hopefully mother nature co-operates with the spectacular colours that Cape Breton is famous for.
Lunch and Dinner are on your own today. This evening we will be attending the second of our Celtic Colour Performances.
Day 6 – Sunday, October 14th, 2012
7:00am – Luggage outside of door. Breakfast is served in the dining room.
8:00am – Sadly we depart this scenic area and retrace our steps back to Edmundston for our last night together. Our hotel this evening is the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 100 Rice St, Edmundston, N.B. Phone 506-735-9101.
Day 7 – Monday, October 15th, 2012
6:30am – Luggage and continental buffet breakfast
7:30am – Depart from the hotel. We board our motor coach for the return to Ottawa with an expected arrival around 6:00pm.

• A valid Canadian Passport or enhanced Driver’s license is required to enter the U.S.A
• For the comfort of fellow travelers, kindly refrain from using scented products (perfume or cologne).
• Clients may have to transfer coaches as we have participates joining our tours from all over South Eastern Ontario. The size and style of the shuttle vehicle is dependant on the number of passengers.
• Your Queensway Tour representative is available to assist you in any way possible. Please do not hesitate to contact him/her with any questions or concerns. If you have a problem or complaint about any hotel room or other inclusion on your tour, you must report it to your tour director as soon as possible in order for them to inspect the problem and attempt to have it rectified for you. No complaints will be considered by our office upon return of the trip unless reported to and duly noted by the tour director
• Tipping for driver and escort is voluntary depending on quality of service.
• Step-on guides: We provide a standard gratuity to the local guide but if you feel that he/she has given exceptional service you are welcome to offer them something extra on your own.
• Luggage: Baggage service will be provided. You will receive your luggage tags upon check in prior to departure. Please ensure that you adhere to our baggage policies. Queensway Tours will pay only the portage charges for ONE large suitcase per person. You are responsible for your carry-on baggage.
