We invite you to enjoy the variety of Cape Cod! A pine-scented peninsula extending seventy miles into the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cod is rich in history and bursting with unique and interesting activities. Just a short distance offshore is what has been described as “among the best whale watching in the world”. Onshore, there is enchantment at every turn. Countless historic sites and landmarks tell the proud role Cape Cod has played in American history beginning with the Pilgrims first landing in 1620. It is truly a magical place built on the shifting sands left behind from the last great Ice Age. Our personal guide from the Cape will stay with us for the duration of our stay and will provide a wealth of knowledge as we visit Hyannis, Sandwich, Provincetown, and enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer. Do not forget to bring your cameras!

(508) 771-3000. www.capecodderresort.com Unpack and relax as we settle in to our home for the next four nights. After a welcome reception, we will enjoy an included dinner together tonight.
Tuesday, August 28 :
Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel before we meet our LOCAL GUIDE and begin a full day of exploring the outer Cape. Travel along the scenic OLD KING’S HIGHWAY and learn about the history of the Cape as you travel through villages that are filled with wonderful examples of colonial architecture. You will stop at the CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE VISITORS CENTER, view a windmill and a lighthouse before you continue on to the outer Cape. You will be surrounded by the ocean, sand dunes and beach cottages that dot the shoreline as you enter one of the Cape’s best known destinations – PROVINCETOWN. Provincetown is fun, lively and filled with artists, fishermen and tourists in the summer. You have the option of staying on DRY LAND to enjoy a DUNE TOUR and admission to the PROVINCETOWN MUSEUM and PILGRIM MONUMENT or venture out on the SEAS for a WHALE WATCH EXCURSION. The choice is yours to make for this is YOUR VACATION to ENJOY… Will all meet back at a designated time and location to compare LAND and SEA TALES before enjoying an included dinner in PROVINCETOWN.
Wednesday, August 29:
Breakfast is included once again today. We’ll begin our Cape Cod adventure once we meet our GUIDE at the resort who will escort us to the lovely seaside village of CHATHAM. Main Street Chatham is a wonderful example of a village that has retained its charm yet offers wonderful shopping opportunities. You will stop at the CHATHAM LIGHT and gaze out at the Atlantic Ocean which sculpts a new coastline each season. Basking harbor seals and great white sharks may all be visible from the look-out point. Bring your binoculars! A LUNCHEON CRUISE on Cape Cod Bay featuring one of the Cape’s biggest LOBSTER ROLLS is included today. Alternate entrees and a children’s menu are included. Return to the hotel for a free afternoon – swim in the wave pool, get dropped off at a local beach or have time for shopping at the Cape Cod Mall. Dinner is on your own tonight along Hyannis’ Main Street. There are plenty of restaurant styles and budgets to satisfy everyone in the group.
Thursday, August 30:
Enjoy yet another full breakfast this morning at the hotel before our guide meets us at the resort for a final day of exploring. Begin with a tour of the Cape’s homeport of HYANNIS. This is the business, retail and transportation hub of the area. Drive along Main Street and through the village of Hyannisport and stop at the Kennedy Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. You will view or visit St. Francis Xavier Church. (Please remember that this is an active house of worship and there will be certain times that we cannot enter the sanctuary.)
Next you will travel to Cape Cod’s oldest town – SANDWICH where you will view the village green, the Great Salt Marsh, a cranberry bog and Cape Cod Bay. Sandwich became the site of one of America’s largest glass factories, an industry that flourished during the 19th century. Sandwich also was the home of Thornton Burgess, naturalist and author of several childhood stories. Enjoy a visit to the HERITAGE MUSEUMS & GARDENS that is a beautiful stop on a summer day. Follow the paths that take you through beautifully landscaped grounds that lead to exhibit halls. A Round Barn filled with antique automobiles, a working windmill, an area dedicated to the young and the young at heart, a building that is home to a hand carved carousel, art work and changing exhibits are just some of the things that will delight everyone in the group.
Enjoy an ICE CREAM TREAT on us before you head back to the resort. Tonight we’ll enjoy our final dinner together.
Friday, August 31:
We will share one more breakfast together before we check out of the hotel and before heading home.
Depart Cape Cod with sand in your shoes, seashells in your pocket and many fond memories of your tour on “Olde Cape Cod” with thought of returning again soon!
