Day 1 New York City
Depart Ottawa early morning for New York, New York, arriving late afternoon. Upon our arrival we will check into our New Jersey Hotel - the Holiday Inn Harmon Meadow www.holiday-inn.com/secaucusnj. Located 3 miles from midtown Manhattan and close to shopping and a wide variety of restaurants, this tastefully decorated hotel will provide a comfortable base for your exploration of New York. There is a fitness center, lobby lounge and restaurant for your convenience. Rooms are well laid out with the standard amenities including: a refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker and complimentary coffee. A bountiful breakfast buffet is included each morning of our stay! The first evening is free to explore the area. N.J. Transit bus service is available to and from Manhattan & the stop is located across the street from our hotel. The bus runs every 20 minutes to the Port Authority in Manhattan, approximate one way cost is $3.25 US. This service operates until 1:00 a.m.
Day 2/3 New York City
Our tour bus will be available to take you into and back from Manhattan at specific times. We start day two with our local guide and a 4-hour tour introducing us to New York Citys most popular attractions, including famous Greenwich Village, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Broadway, Times Square and Central Park. Afterwards you are free to explore the malls, shops, museums, galleries and Broadway on your own. Day three is a free day to continue exploring. Visit Battery Park for those interested in making their way to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island or take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, considered to be the best sightseeing bargain in the city. Both evenings dinner is yours to decide on.
Day 4 Ottawa
We depart the Big Apple this morning, taking time for coffee and lunch. We will make a brief stop at Duty Free before arriving back in Ottawa by late afternoon, with memories you wont soon forget.
