If there is one thing a Myrtle Beach area vacation guarantees its fun. A relaxing day on the beach, a challenging game of golf or one of our planned side trips to shopping or sightseeing! Our itinerary offers the perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment value!

Day 1 - Chambersburg

All aboard as we travel south taking time to stop at Duty Free, before crossing the boarder at Ivy Lea. Driving through the states of New York and Pennsylvania en route to Chambersburg, PA for our first night.

Day 2 - Myrtle Beach

Awake early this morning, we begin our journey to Myrtle Beach. A beautiful and varied drive awaits us as we travel through Virginia and the Carolinas, arriving in time for dinner at the hotel. We check into our oceanfront one bedroom suites at the Best Western Carolinian. This fabulous resort is located on the ocean and features an enclosed oceanfront swimming pool, lazy river ride, restaurant across the street, fitness center, miniature golf, free local phone calls, cable TV with free HBO and free high speed internet. Our rooms feature two full sized beds, furnished private balcony, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffeemaker, toaster, all utensils, living room and two televisions. Check in, relax and enjoy your dinner!

Day 3/7 - Myrtle Beach

The next five days will be fun filled with planned activities, time to enjoy the beach and the amenities of our hotel. A breakfast is included each morning along with a delicious dinner featuring a different restaurant each evening. Sightseeing includes: Brookgreen Gardens with its impressive botanical displays and sculptures, the historic southern city of Charleston SC, featuring fascinating architecture dating back to Civil War Days, cobblestone streets and a huge outdoor market. Shopping is another exciting experience in Myrtle Beach. Stops will be made at Broadway on the Beach, the largest festive entertainment complex in South Carolina. Set on 350 acres in the heart of Myrtle Beach, this dynamic development features over 100 specialty shops, 20 restaurants, 15 attractions, 11 nightclubs, all surrounding a 23-acre lake. The Barefoot Landing has unique shopping (100 specialty stores and 15 outlet shops), dining and entertainment all in a setting reminiscent of an old fishing village. The Colonial Mall features the latest in fashion and accessories with a JC Penney, Belks and 95 other shops for your convenience. Also a Bass Pro Sport Outlet for all the outdoor enthusiasts. The shows that we traditionally visit are The Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre and the Dixie Stampede, but we are always on the lookout for anything new and exciting!

Day 8 - Carlisle

Enjoy one last view of the ocean or a walk on the beach while preparing for our after breakfast departure on our journey home. Retracing our steps, we overnight in Carlisle, PA.

Day 9 - Ottawa

Getting an early start we head northward, stopping at Duty Free, before arriving back in Ottawa with lots of memories from our wonderland vacation in Myrtle Beach.
