For two centuries, Chicago has been the nation's link, between East and West, North and South. A world class city of tremendous cultural diversity, a city always in transition, "Chicago is all the rage!"
Day 1 - Port Huron
Today we travel towards southwestern Ontario, making our way into the USA via the Sarnia/Port Huron Bridge. Our first overnight stay will be in Port Huron, Michigan.
Day 2 - Chicago
We cross the state of Michigan today, heading into Illinois and arriving at our final destination, "Chicago", by late afternoon. Prior to check in, we will take time to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Home and Studio in Oak Park. We check into our centrally located hotel for the next 3 nights. This evening is free to explore some of Chicago's exciting nightlife, including Broadway shows, fabulous nightclubs and restaurants. (Additional information on options along with maps will be provided for you on the coach).
Day 3 - Chicago
Following our breakfast this morning, we will embark on a 5 hour guided tour. This will help you orient yourself with all that this exciting city has to offer. Following the tour you will be given some free time for lunch. This afternoon, we have arranged a visit to the Sears Tower Sky Deck, offering one of the best views of the city. The balance of the day and evening are free to continue experiencing this unique city at your own pace. Take advantage of the shopping opportunities on the Magnificent Mile, or Chicago's original shopping district, "State Street". Art enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to The Art Institute of Chicago, housing one of the largest collections of Impressionist and post-Impressionists paintings outside of Paris.
Day 4 - Chicago
Enjoy your breakfast before boarding our Architectural boat tour! This narrated tour, by knowledgeable guides, gives us interesting anecdotes behind Chicago's buildings while also providing us with memorable views of Chicago vistas and architecture. The balance of the afternoon and evening are free to continue your exploration! Visit Millennium Park, famous for concerts and sculpture or the Navy Pier, offering more than 50 acres of parks, gardens, shops and restaurants!
