Cape Cod, The Islands & Whale Watching
6 Days
Jun 20-25, Aug 15-20, 2010

From the mansions of Nantucket and the quaint island of Marthas Vineyard to Plymouth Rock, we visit the area where the pilgrims settled and millionaires have their summer retreats. Along with an excursion to view magnificent whales, this relaxed yet eventful tour is sure to give you memories to last a long time.
Day 1 - Cape Cod
Today we travel southeast to the state of Massachusetts and beautiful Cape Cod and check into our hotel for the next 5 nights. This all suites hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness room and game room. The rooms are mini suites and include cable television and a separate sitting area. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 2 - Cape Cod/Edgartown
After our full breakfast we set out with our local guide to the Hy-Line Docks, where we will board a vessel for a cruise to the Storybook Island of Marthas Vineyard. Upon arrival we will board a local bus for a Down Island Tour. We will learn about the history and lifestyle of the islanders as we travel through the islands villages. There will be time for lunch and shopping on our own in the historic whaling village of Edgartown. Dinner and entertainment are included this evening.
Day 3 - Cape Cod/Provincetown
Today we travel down historic Route 6A to Provincetown, viewing the Eastham Windmill and a lighthouse. We'll also drive through the Cape Cod National Seashore. Lunch and shopping are on your own in Provincetown. While in Provincetown, we will enjoy a whale watching excursion. A naturalist on board will explain the different marine life we will be seeing during our cruise. Be sure to bring your camera! Dinner is again included this evening.
Day 4 - Cape Cod/Hyannis/Plymouth
Today our local guide will take us on a tour of Hyannis including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of the St. Francis Xavier Church. It is then off to Americas Home Town, Plymouth, where a picture taking stop will be made at the Plymouth Rock and the Forefathers Monument. Admission is included today at Plymouth Plantation. In this living-history museum of 17th century Plymouth, costumed interpreters portray residents of the colony. Well also board the Mayflower II. Dinner and entertainment are included this evening.
Day 5 - Cape Cod/Nantucket/Hyannis
Once again it is off to the Hy-Line Docks where we will board a vessel for a cruise to the stunning island of Nantucket. Upon arrival our guide will point out the restaurants, galleries, shops and museums that are within walking distance of the dock area for your time on your own. Then we will enjoy a Nantucket Island tour. Lunch and shopping are on your own. Please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets and brick sidewalks that line Nantuckets downtown area. A lobster dinner is included tonight. An alternate entree will be available for those not wishing to have lobster.
